History Revisited Archival Limited Edition Giclee Series

Antique Prints & Maps are precious & finite limited resource. The technology that   created them, e.g. soft copper plates, limited their number comparable to the limited   disposable income of our ancestors. Printing techniques evolve to cater to demand.   The world population of the Present has an array of educational portals & ways to   access the windows to our collective pictorial Past. The Antiquarian Print Gallery has   created a selection of rare and delicate prints & maps by educational value and   decorative appeal to present our History Revisited Archival Limited Edition Series.

The Giclee Inkjet Process has been chosen due its use of fade resistant, highly calibrated, inks that accurately records the more fragile organic character of these precious survivors of history.

The pigments last approximately 120-140 years under normal conditions, before acceptable fading occurs. The paper employed is 100% Cotton "lignin free" paper. It mimics the texture and appeal of the original Flax and Hemp before the introduction of inherently unstable wood pulp paper introduced circa 1880.
