Antique Copper engraving engraved, printed on hand made "Laid" made from hemp and flax laid paper.

Features a series of figures illustrating survey situations and equipment used in the late 1700s while demonstrating perspective diagrams where and how such equipment is used: Compass Surveying, Gauging Rod, "Levelling", Perambulator, Plain table

Published "According to an Act of Parliament" by Alexander Hogg, at the Kings Arms No 16 Paternoster Row, London circa 1788

Condition= Very good. Hand made flax & hemp "Laid" paper has a light brown age smudge half way down right border, right platemark  incomplete due to cropping, light water stain well clear of top watermark.

 Plate mark = 23.5 x 38 cm  /9.4 x 15.2 inch
