Pictorial Lessons on Form, Comparison & Number

Pictures were beneficial tools used to educate children before the introduction of compulsory education introduced into South Australia in July 1875. Today our classrooms are places of technology ie computers, calculators and virtual realities. In the days of governesses and early education, lessons were in beeing aware of your 'floating world' of the everyday: days work was often manual, herdsmen were common, pre-electricity candlesticks were essential household items, and before supermarkets food was often grown in a productive garden.
