Lindman was the Professor of the Botany Department at the Swedish Museum of Natural History in 1905. He had traveled on many botanical journeys to Europe,Africa and South America by that time and had become a revered botanist. ahe his best remembered for his comprehensive botanical work, "Bilder ur Nordens Flora", published A. Börtzells Stockholm, Sweden 1901-1905. Lindman was appointed Professor of Botany at the Swedish Museum of Natural History.
