The Antipodies held a "Noah's Arc" of new, inexplicable & wonderous creatures new to the "Known Worlds" of Europe Asia and Americas.

The Voyages of Exploration during the Age of Enlightenment (1650-1820) recorded, or attempted to, the veritable scientific cacophony of botanical, mammal, marine, reptile discoveries for their respective scientific records. Then there was the experience of living amongst these natural curiosities.

This lead to transporting live examples back to a Europe that would otherwise interpreted many of these images mere fictions. Lets come a meet a few French & British attempts...
